Summary

Yi-ryeong made a living by deceiving the wealthy all across the country, using her beauty and remarkable acting skills. She had sworn that even if she spent her life swindling others, she would never allow herself to be deceived. But one day, she’s betrayed by the very gang she trusted the most and ends up arrested by the authorities. Before her lie only two fates: the whip or imprisonment. At that moment, a man appears before her—like a ray of light breaking through the darkness. “If I take the lashes in your place… will you become my wife?” Yi-ryeong decides to use that naive man one last time. However… beneath the clumsy, simple-hearted body of that man, something begins to stir within her. Even though her original plan was to take his savings and run away, why do her cheeks flush red, and why do her own hands untie the ribbons of her blouse?
