Summary

Serun Greenwood’s kingdom has been ravaged by war and she has been captured, taken to become a sacrificial offering to the gods of the mountain. It is said that the wolves that guard the mountain will offer protection in return to those who give up a human sacrifice to them. And thus Serun’s fate has been sealed. If only she had died with dignity along with her family instead of becoming lowly meat for the wolves. A painless death is all she can hope for but, alas, seeing those sharp, white teeth piercing through the darkness, it will be anything but. Then suddenly, he appears.
