Summary

Rawon is a world where gods and humans coexist.Here, the gods feed on human awe and use that power to protect humans, whilehumans live under the grace of the gods, existing within a "cycle of awe and grace."Yusa, the spirit of the Cheongyugang River, has rejected human awe for nearly a century due to the shock of losing his most cherished human disciple, Tan-eo.Whenever he faces the risk of losing his divinity and perishing as a lowly creature, he merely sustains his precarious existence by borrowing his divinity through a union with Gaho, the mountain god who secretly loves him. Meanwhile, Dajin, the son of a great general whose clan was annihilated by an evil god, yearns to become a disciple of a god and become the "Human Emperor" solely for the sake of revenge.He requests to become Gaho's disciple, leveraging his exceptional martial prowess, but is rejected as Gaho sees through his heart consumed by vengeance.Overwhelmed by despair that the gods have abandoned both his parents and himself, Dajin eventually throws himself into the Cheongyu River.
